  • Post Surgery Week 6

Routine added more light weights to my leg lifts, side and rear.

One legged balances - very proud to say I did them every day this week and I feel alright after they are done

Bosu is hard for me to get into initial position but I love the challenge

Walking on the treadmill is hit and miss. Maybe 2 days this week felt solid but the other days I'd start to feel twinges near the end. Yesterday especially.

I can do a flip turn but no hard push off. But I can flip in the water!!! Woohoo!!

I'm on week 2 of prednisone steroids for breathing. This is 3 weeks solid of bad breathing. My dad said to take in more calcium because it can weaken bones. Got it.

Might also be all the meds but my blood pressure is unusually high. I've been taking 20 minutes to relax before bed and it's so far helping. The last thing I need is hypertension.

Still sticking with myfitness.com. I want to do everything I can to not have to pay $$$$ to fix a problem like this again. And if genetics indicate, it's gonna be a long battle with arthritis.

  • What is going on with your breathing? :( Glad to hear you are steadily improving otherwise.

  • your progress is steady and sure. hate to read about the breathing issues.

  • Woooo - progress! It sure sucks, though, to read that your breathing is still under attack. Your dad is right - my hubby had to take a lot of prednisone in the past for severe attacks of ulcerative colitis, and his bone scans are not great these days. May your days ease soon.

  • @Shahrazad1973 -  I caught the Mayan Apocalypse Cold and developed bronchitis. Lucky for me, I caught it at Christmas and I slept through New Year's Eve. I thought I was turning a corner. The rest of my body was getting better but my cough got worse and I couldn't sleep so I went to a grocery store clinic and they put me on steroids and a bunch of other drugs. Blergh. I'm almost done taking everything.

  • @scifiknitter -  I've never had a bone scan and holy crap, ulcerative colitis? Ack!

  • @buyit -  And again, LOVE the layout of your new website. And the content written by the nutball who runs it all : p

  • @Lenore_Happenstance - yuck! My husband and I have had a regenerating cold that goes away and comes back. Very annoying. Have had laryngitis twice because of it and I still hack up a lung in the middle of the night! Thankfully both the girls seem to have been spared so far. Dumb winter bugs.
