And may the archiving start
Where is everybody’s alternate blogs? I’m collecting links. I have to find a new place for my google reader too. I’m using Old Reader right now.

i just switched to feedly and i’m diggin it
You can find me at http://scifiknitter.blogspot.com. I’ve long maintained a mirror blog there, so I’m all set with a posting platform. Xanga encourages comments and interaction, and I don’t get much of that on my Blogger blog.
I paid $24 to NewsBlur for an account to replace Google Reader, and like it. You can have a free account, but are limited in the number of feeds you follow. I like it a lot – nice interface, plus: 1) it’s a pad model so likely to stick around, and 2) it already had a different engine than Google Reader, so it’s not scrambling like mad to create new software to keep up & running after Google Reader turns out the lights.
I might start using my WordPress at some point, but I’m mostly FB and Google+ since the Tiny One is getting so mobile and demanding. What works best for you to stay in touch? I can’t lose you!
I just caught up a bit on your adventures. I’m so sorry to hear about the continuing pain issues.
@buyit - hells bells, lady, i read you on your schmancy sites as much as i can!! i think transition for you was never an issue, you did it long ago. plus, you’re my twitter buddy. i’ll definitely still be reading you after this place is gone.
@scifiknitter - good tip! Old Reader looks like Google Reader but there’s no ap for it yet. It’s free but since Gawker recommended it their new accounts went up something like 1400% so they’re backlogged. I have a RIDICULOUS amount of blogs I read daily/weekly. I can only imagine how many you get through in a month!! I also keep track of you on Twitter – I do like the real time of it though it’s just a 140 letter snippit of people’s day. You make the world a beautiful place and I am forever grateful for meeting you. One day, real life.
It’s the end of an era, baby! You know where to find me. But, where do we find you? Will you have another blog?
@Lenore_Happenstance - Awwww, such a sweet reply, you made my day. YES, I want to meet you in real life one of these days. Maybe all this means I’ll pay more attention to Twitter than I have of late. First thing is to delete a whole big whack of people I follow to leave room for the people who matter to me, like you.
Newsblur has a very nice mobile app for my iPhone, too, and I do believe it also supports Android. It all syncs very nicely, too. Since I switched, I feel like my blog reading is a lot more integrated between desktop and mobile than it was.
@buyit - Of course I’ll blog. My thing is whining to the internet! Wah wah wah. And it will be under this username.
@scifiknitter - It’s kind of like our kids grew up down the street from each other but blog-wise.
@Lenore_Happenstance - Have you decided on a blogging platform yet?
I know what you mean about our kids…
@scifiknitter - I’m going to check out WordPress and see what kind of privacy features it offers. I thought about Blogspot and heaven forbid, tumblr. I’m not in a severe hurry as long as I can get that freakin’ archive updated.
I’ve been trying to get Xangans to visit my blog for YEARS!!! lol

@gwenstyles@twitter - Argh! I’ll add you to my reader!!
