Quickie:
The Family Happenstance Easter celebration is on hiatus unless Louisville loses. Priorities!
There are a lot of things I dislike about my job but it’s the first one where I can work from home sometimes. I love having my dog here. It makes the day better.
I tested positive for strep. Because I’ve been on an 875mg dose of amoxicillin, they jumped me to Amox-Clav. I’ve been sick pretty much all year and the current antibiotics are not helping. I also have what I was dreading: bronchitis. I begged not to be put on steroids again. I can’t take any more drug induced emotional swings from my normally non-drug induced emotional life.
And I’m infectious. People at work can get my cooties and I bet I gave this to people at the gym. Ugh.
It took a while to get my script because of discussion about my tendonitis. Apparently some antibiotics can cause tendon damage! I’m already dealing with psoas tendonitis. These antibiotics combined with steroids apparently can cause an even greater chance of tendon damage so disclose disclose disclose. To get sick so often after hip arthroscopy? Not helping my physical therapy!!!!
Anybody know someone who can take in a beautiful puppy with eyebrows?
I mean JESUS you guys. twitpic.com/ccgaa7

Fuck it. The good thing is it’s not the flu. The bad thing is I think I’m too freakin’ old for tonsillitis and that this is the third time I’ve been sick this year.
Updated: I’m still running a fever of about 100 but I’m sweating buckets. I hope this means the battle of infection is happening where my stupidly large pills are doing their job. The clinic was a little concerned over my insistence that I not be put on steroids again for my cough. I just can’t take another week on those things and again, for the third time this year. I took a breathing treatment instead. I was on antibiotics after the surgery then around Christmas then after New Year’s then in February for my tendonitis and I’m wondering what good bacteria gets killed dosing myself like that. In the past 15 years before my surgery, I took antibiotics maybe twice which is why it feels to me like I’m overdosing on the stuff.
That said, I’ve had wonderful friend moments this week. One got a puppy – an absolutely adorable fur pile of happiness that I know will fill her life with joy and poop. I gifted her a doggy car seat and that means she joins the ranks of crazy spoiled dog owner. Another talked to me about my protected post and besides my relationship with my daughter, she is the rock. Another girlfriend is redecorating her kitchen – I’ve known this woman since I was 5 years old. We’re developing quite a texting relationship. And if I’m not mistaken, I thought I saw a beautiful lurker from my middle and high school days on this blog’s footsteps. Mistress Marlena, please drop me a word and tell me how you are doing?
